The elegant Velours club in the glamourous Aoyama district, where Tokyo’s most fashionable addresses are lining up, was crowded to bursting with invited guests and VIPs, who expected the first SPOT ON WIEN Night Event focusing on Austrian fashion and electronic music. The guests were received by the sounds of DJ Tom Wieland aka 7 Samurai’s eclectic Jazz-Waltz-Mix specifically compiled for this evening. Then, the “Fashion Shooting” kicked off pointing the flashlights on the collection by Ali Zedtwitz, for the first time in Tokyo. The models showed contoured silhouettes and a more vanguard look highlighting bright colors and interesting accessories.

The next show featured the DIPTYCH collection. The first season of this young Viennese label run by Ali Zedtwitz and Valerie Lange emphasized on the motto “Big Volume”, also introducing Japanese influences in the processing of fabrics and patterns as well as in the choice of accessories, like the traditional Zori sandals with flowers the models were wearing. The last fashion show of the evening brought Mühlbauer headware into the spotlight and onto the models’ heads - from elegant to rustic-style straw hats, proving why Mühlbauer headware is so popular worldwide. The transitions between the shows were backed with visuals by the Vienna-based design studio strukt and soundscapes from Austria.

After a great applause the music-focused 2nd part of the soirée started. DJ Marflow aka Diskokaine dragged the crowd on the dancefloor with his proven blend of outer-space-disco, new wave and house. Then, electro-entertainers’ duo Ogris Debris with its elegant live-house-set rocked the club, until finally Austrian electronic music pioneer Patrick Pulsinger took over the decks working the dancing crowd into the early morning.

And-I’s extravagant accessories led through the soirée as icings of the cake worn by “SPOT ON WIEN“-Night MC Andrés Fredes and Julia Taubinger and causing sensation among the guests. And-I is an Austrian accessory maker to the stars, gracing the cover of Vogue magazine, designing for Thierry Mugler, and most recently for such a-list celebrities as Lady Gaga and Beyoncé.
