For the first time this year, the “Face of the Year” is given to relevant and trendsetting designers from Austria. The 5 winners will be awarded in the scope of the design exhibition SPOT ON WIEN – Flashing Austrian Design and Music, by the Vienna Tourist Board and the studio JULAND *BarcelonaVienna, to take place in Tokyo in the end of October 2009.
Since four years, Pure Austrian Design has been successfully promoting Austria’s cultural profile in the stages of the international design scene. Through the “Five Faces of the Year” a new milestone is set to give design lovers worldwide an insight into Austria’s design achievements, by pushing forward the faces and stories behind contemporary product design.
