The “Face of the Year” prizes and celebrates five personalities who stand behind the term Austrian Design-Landscape. The stories of each one of those five faces cover the key elements of Design in Austria. Together, as an ensemble, they tell the bigger story of Austrian Design, and its possible future icons. To deliberate, the jury met in Vienna, at the office of the Vienna Tourist Board next to the Augarten Park, where they engaged in a prolonged and constructive discussion process. Finally, and after an overall consensus was reached, the “5 Faces of the Year” were announced.
